Mathematical fluency and flexibility is greatly enhanced by the ability to recall key facts and to support this we have developed key skill charts for each year, a system by which children are regularly challenged to learn appropriate number facts to support their learning. This system is further enhanced by parents who practice with their child at home.
This year we have invested in Mathletics for every pupil from Year 1 through to Year 6. Maths home learning is set weekly on this website and the children can practise their maths skills on here and earn points. During assembly on a Monday children are awarded a certificate for being the 'Mathlete of the week' in their class and there are Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the top scorers awarded weekly too. So keep playing on those Maths games!
