Remembrance Service

November 18, 2016

On Monday 7th November Mr. Peter Sercombe, a standard bearer for the Royal British Legion came to our KS2 assembly.  During the discussion it was clear that our children understand the important symbolism of the poppy.  Mr. Sercombe made a huge impact on our children and we were thrilled that during the Braunton Remembrance Service on 11th November, our Year 6 School Counsillors, Clem and Kenzie were asked to stand with the Mr. Sercombe, the flag bearer for the one minute's silence.  This was a very proud moment for Southmead.
