Surf Life Saving Competition Triple Silver Winner Sunday 26th February – by Grace Parkin On Sunday, I went to a Surf Life Saving Competition with Jess Cardew and Reuben Insley. Jess and I are in Saunton Sands. There were 3 individual races, they were: the flipper race, board race and a mannequin race (all 25 metres). In the flipper race I came 2nd out of the whole of Devon! I got a silver medal for the flippers. Saunton is the best! For the board relay, my team and I came 2nd just behind Woolacombe. All of our team got a shiny silver medal. The medley race was different because the first person, (Hope), swam a length without flippers, the second person, (Annabelle), swam a length with flippers. The third person, (Liberty), swam a length with a tube then swapped it over to me, and then I swam her back. That was how I got my 3 silver medals
