Meal Time Assistant – Cover


We are looking for people who have an hour or so to spare between either 11.50am – 1.05pm or 12.15pm – 1.30pm on an ad hoc basis to cover lunchtimes on the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds. You would get paid for the hours you work and wouldn’t be committed to everyday – as and when you are needed and are available. You will need to have a current DBS check which we can arrange if you are interested.

1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant
17.5hours per week / 38 weeks

£9.18 - £9.36 per hour

 

Southmead Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant to support a child in KS1 and KS2. We are looking for a motivated team player who has experience of working with children with a range of needs. A positive and encouraging attitude is essential, as is kindness, patience and an ability to use your initiative. You will need to have experience of working alongside staff to plan and deliver a differentiated curriculum and timetable based on the specific needs of one particular named child or small group of children. We are looking for applicants who are dedicated to making a difference to children’s lives and to ensure every child has the opportunities they deserve.

You will be working alongside an experienced and supportive team and there will be ongoing opportunities for training.

This post is on a fixed term contract attached to the pupil’s SEND funding and the continued attendance of the pupil at Southmead Primary School and their need for support.


We are looking for someone with the following essential qualities:
• A Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent
• Experience of working with children with additional needs
• Experience of delivering 1:1 and/or small group interventions
• A positive and encouraging attitude
• Kindness and patience
• A willingness to learn
• An ability to work within a team
• GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths

 

And the following desirable qualities:
 Specialist training in a specific area of SEND
 Specialist training in specific intervention programmes, e.g. Talk Boost
 Working knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

 

This role requires the ability to fulfill all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in
English.

Class Teacher (MPS)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 teacher to join our friendly team on a temporary contract to cover for staff absence.

 

We are looking for a teacher who will inspire and engage our children and support and challenge them to do their best and reach their full potential.
