Year Five

Welcome to Year 5. To support your child's learning, we have collated a range of learning tasks your child can access with and without parental support. If you do not have access to a printer, you can just view the documents and write answers. There is no requirement to print!

In addition to the learning tasks below, there are a number of education websites and online education providers that are offering a wide range of free learning resources across all subjects and age ranges. Please look at their sites for free codes and logins. Recommended sites include:

Spellings

 We have been given a free 12 week access to this great spelling programme. You can access on a computer or download the app via apple store or android. Go to https://app.sirlinkalot.org  Go to login on the top right corner - Username: free Password: free.  You could choose any level, but you should look at the 1st etymology bundle called BISCUIT BYRON.  Watch the funny spelling videos, practise the spelling by remembering the rhymes and do the mini tests! GOOD LUCK!

 
This week,  in preparation for a new writing teaching and learning sequence, we will be revising techniques to improve your sentences.  The tasks will still be colour coded: blue - should, green - could, red - challenge. We suggest you choose the colour that you would normally do when you are in school.
