Welcome to Year 1. To support your child's learning, we have collated a range of learning tasks your child can access with and without parental support. If you do not have access to a printer, you can just view the documents and write answers. There is no requirement to print!

In addition to the learning tasks below, there are a number of education websites and online education providers that are offering a wide range of free learning resources across all subjects and age ranges. Please look at their sites for free codes and logins. Recommended sites include:

English and Reading

Week Beginning 6th July

At school we have found that we are still in the process of writing our own poems as well as learning our favourite ones from the book off by heart. Therefore we have not added to the planning for this week. If you have written your poem, we'd love to see it or could you video yourself reciting your learnt poem.

Letter Join is an online tool which can model and support your child's handwriting development.

Oh! I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

Week Beginning 6th July

As we have Sports Day in school and at home this week (you should have received an email about this), we don't have much time in school for topic this week; we will be doing some undersea crafts and you could do this too. The internet is full of amazing ideas or you could use your imagination - maybe an octopus or a beautiful fish? We'd love to see them. Next week you will need a tube - maybe from kitchen towel or a pringles tube.

Even if they don't, as a parent, you can also sign up for a 2-4 week free trial which your child can try!  Click on the image to try today!
