  • Primary Maths Challenge

Fri 27 Nov 2020 Mr Plumb
    The results are in...
This week Year 6 worked hard to complete the Primary Maths Challenage.  This then meant that all of the Year 5 and 6 papers could be marked and the scores were then submitted. All of the children worked incredibly hard and should be proud of themselves. It is called a challenge

for a reason – it is not meant to be easy! All children have received a certificate for taking

part and there are some individuals who have been awarded with either a bronze, silver or

  • Money Raised following Paralympian Visit

Fri 27 Nov 2020 Mr Plumb

Following our visit from Paralympian David Hill, I am very pleased to share that we raised £2409.14. All proceeds will go to supporting our school PE resources across all year groups.

Not only did the children have a great day, we have all been inspired by his positive message and the great things he has achieved.

I know that the rewards/prizes for raising sponsorship were supposed to be plastic wrist bands, however I am pleased to say that they listened to our concerns/feedback and have produced wrist bands made from recycled plastic!

I would like to thank Sports for Schools for this and wish them every success for the future.

  • Diwali Dance

Fri 20 Nov 2020 Mr Plumb
Our EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils took part in a Diwali Dance workshop. It was great to see the children smiling and joining in - along with the teachers and teaching assistants. It was not easy but the children (or staff) did not give in and their performances at the end were a delight. We are committed to ensuring our pupils have a broad and balanced curriculum. We know that children enjoy many different aspects of school but they all differ. For some it's Maths, others it is Science or for some it's lunchtime. Therefore, it is really important to us that we offer as many different subjects and opportunities for enrichment that we can. We hope you will agree that our children are happy coming to school and have a range of enrichment activities that underpins our school values.
  • South Street Food Bank

Fri 13 Nov 2020 Mr Plumb
South Street Food Bank came to collect all of the kind donations made by our families, today. They were extremely grateful to everyone and they are looking forward to distributing the food within our local community.
