Here at Southmead, we have recently selected Eco-representatives from Year 1 upwards to help their classes focus on environmental issues and to learn about ways that we can all be as eco-friendly as possible. This week, these pupils took a trip to Chivenor where they learnt about the benefits of trees, record-breaking trees and most importantly, how to plant a sapling! Our three teams, using excellent teamwork, planted 4 trees each towards Chivenor’s pledge of 1000.

Today, both staff and pupils dressed up in the Ukrainian flag colours of blue and yellow to show support for Ukraine in these troubled times. We raised lots of money for charity and had great fun in the process. Thank you to everybody who took part and donated.
