This visit will not only support a range ofWriting activities in the days following our visit and make crucial links withour History work, but intends to develop your child’s independence, curiosityin nature and self-esteem.

Ø a long sleeved top.
Ø A long-sleevedfleece or jumper.

They will also need a backpack whichcontains:

The children will travel to Hakeford Woodsby coach. We will be leaving school after registration and expect to return bythe normal time of 3.10 p.m.
The cost for the trip is £13.80 and can bepaid on Parentpay. Whilst this is a voluntary contribution, it is based oneveryone paying. The cost is made up of £550 for the 4 Forest schoolinstructors for the day, £275 for the coach and a £31 admin fee. This has thenbeen divided by 62 children – the number of children in the year group. Werealise that this is an expensive trip but feel the children will benefitgreatly in so many areas from such a fabulous adventure. However, if we do nothave sufficient funds we will have to cancel the trip which will be a greatdisappointment. Should you have any difficulty making the above contributions, please contact our Office Staff to discuss this in confidence.
Parental Support
For us to be able to offer theseopportunities and to make the trip successful, we need to ask for the help ofparents and carers. For health and safety reasons, we must have additional DBS-checkedadults to support on any trip outside of school. If you would like to help and havenot already completed our Volunteer Process, please ask our Office Staff assoon as possible so that we can arrange one for you.
Music Lessons
If your child has a music lesson on thesame day as this event, you need to inform their music teacher as soon aspossible. Failure to do this may result in your child missing their lesson but youstill being charged.
Travel Sickness Tablets
Should your child suffer from travelsickness, please give them an anti-sickness tablet before the journey on theday. A return tablet can be administered providing it is handed to the class teacherdirectly in a named envelop with instructions on the front.
Yours sincerely,
