We are very excited to let you know that we have been asked to assemble a team for the Youth Speaks competition again this year. In preparation for this, we would like all members of the year group to write a persuasive speech – about anything you feel passionate about. For example, sustainability, mobile phone use, supporting our local NHS, availability of healthy food etc.
Although everyone will write a short speech, we do not expect everyone to read their work aloud to the rest of the class. Only those people that would like to be part of the Youth Speaks team will perform their speech.
Remember this task needs to be completed by Wednesday.
Times tables
Please make sure that you are practising for your times table test (which is every Friday).
Reading
Please make sure that you read and record your reading in your reading diary FIVE times every week.
