Cultural Celebration Day
On Tuesday 10th June 2025, we looked to celebrate the rich cultures our school includes. We have a fantastic variety of cultures in our school, this year we looked at a handful of these (hopefully we will be able to celebrate others next time!). Each year group chose a country to research and learn about. They created artwork, learnt about famous historical figures and looked at the geography of each area and practised the languages of each country. We even learnt and performed a cultural dance! In the afternoon, we were also treated to watching the other year groups dances. We had such a great time learning about all of the different cultures and the rich histories our school brings together, plus we were indulged in a delicious bit of Spanish cuisine for lunch!
Thank you to our Pickwell Ambassadors for helping arrange this and creating posters for the school, Mrs Priddis for organising the dancing, Mrs Dupuy for researching languages, Mr Barrett and the team for creating a lovely lunch, Miss Williams for providing information on historical figures, Miss Brailey for acting as DJ during the performances and to all of our staff and children for helping make this a great learning experience.
