Mealtime Assistant to start July or September 2024

 5 hours per week (1 hour per day)

Monday - Friday term time only

 

£11.59 per hour (pay award pending)

 

We are looking to appoint bubbly and outgoing helpers to join our committed team supervising and engaging with our children at lunchtimes. We are looking for someone who is friendly, happy and a good team worker and ideally have experience of working with children, this can include your own children. 

 

This vacancy is permanent subject to the completion of a successful six month probationary period.  The role will include 

 

  • Engaging and communicating with the children to promote fun cooperative play
  • Supervising the children on the school playground and organising activities to encourage positive, happy and fun lunchtimes.
  • Leading and playing games with the children
  • Ensuring and monitoring the safety and good behaviour of all the children at lunchtime.

Teaching Assistant - cover

£20,812 - £21,189 FTE (£10.79 - £10.98 per hour)

 

We are looking for people on an ad hoc basis to cover for staff absences. You would get paid for the hours you work and wouldn’t be committed to everyday – just as and when you are needed and are available. You will need to have a current DBS check which we can arrange if you are interested.

 

Ideally we are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • A Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children and/or children with additional needs
  • Experience of delivering 1:1 and/or small group interventions
  • Experience of setting clear and consistent boundaries
  • A positive and encouraging attitude
  • Kindness and patience
  • A willingness to learn
  • An ability to work within a team
  • GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths

 

This role requires the ability to fulfill all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Meal Time Assistant – Cover

We are looking for people who have an hour or so to spare between either 11.50am – 1.05pm or 12.15pm – 1.30pm on an ad hoc basis to cover lunchtimes on the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds. You would get paid for the hours you work and wouldn’t be committed to everyday – as and when you are needed and are available. You will need to have a current DBS check which we can arrange if you are interested.
