Teaching Assistant rate of pay FTE £24,027 - £224,404 (£12.45 - £12.65 per hour)

 

Southmead Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistants to support pupils with additional needs in our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes.  We are looking for a motivated team player ideally with experience of working with children with a range of needs both individually and in small groups.  A positive and encouraging attitude is essential, as is kindness, patience and an ability to use your initiative. You will need to have experience of working alongside staff to plan and deliver a differentiated curriculum and timetable based on the specific needs of one particular child or small group of children. We are looking for applicants who are dedicated to making a difference to children’s lives and to ensure every child has the opportunities they deserve.

  • Experience of working with children with Autism, dyslexia, trauma or speech and language needs
  • Experience of delivering 1:1 and/or small group interventions
  • Experience of setting clear and consistent boundaries
  • A positive and encouraging attitude
  • Kindness and patience
  • A willingness to learn
  • An ability to work within a team
  • GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths

Teaching Assistant - cover

£20,812 - £21,189 FTE (£10.79 - £10.98 per hour)

 

We are looking for people on an ad hoc basis to cover for staff absences. You would get paid for the hours you work and wouldn’t be committed to everyday – just as and when you are needed and are available. You will need to have a current DBS check which we can arrange if you are interested.

 

Ideally we are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • A Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent

  • Experience of setting clear and consistent boundaries

Meal Time Assistant – Cover

We are looking for people who have an hour or so to spare between either 11.50am – 1.05pm or 12.15pm – 1.30pm on an ad hoc basis to cover lunchtimes on the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds. You would get paid for the hours you work and wouldn’t be committed to everyday – as and when you are needed and are available. You will need to have a current DBS check which we can arrange if you are interested.
