Swimming will start in the Spring term, after Christmas for one class and in the Summer term for the other class. Mrs Priddis will be in touch with details for this nearer the end of the Autumn term.
We are currently in the process of booking a Autumn term trip to Hakeford Forest school. Details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Homework this term will be handed out on a Friday (starting 17th September) in a book to be returned on or before the following Wednesday. This is for this first term only.
Next term, in January, we will move homework online to Google Classroom, so the books will not be used. Details on how to access Google Classroom will be sent in the coming months and will form part of some of our computing teaching in school.
What will we be learning about in Year 3?
Check out this leaflet which gives you some ideas on what we will be learning about.

SPELLING AT HOME
Spelling practise at home can often be challenging. Why not try using a multi-sensory approach! Try making the spellings using play dough, using coloured pens, using toys to make the shape of the letters or even during baking with flour! Rap, sing or link spellings to stories and shapes.

READING AT HOME
Our whole school expectation is that children read at home at least 3 times per week, this can be to an adult or independently.
If you do not have access to books at home, please go to https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ and sign up for free access to ebooks
Below are some ideas to help support you at home with reading and questioning your child.
