Year 6 children moving on to Secondary Schools

Parents and carers of children in Year 6 at Southmead will receive information about transferring to Secondary School. Many schools hold open evenings and provide parents with the opportunity to visit schools and then they are asked to select their preferred school. Staff from our local secondary schools visit year 6 children formally at Southmead. Visits are arranged so children can see their new school and experience a day at the school, the term before they leave Southmead.
