A huge thank you to Mrs Shannon and all of our lunchtime team for our Christmas Dinners this year. It was lovely to see all of the children in the hall with their own class but it was no easy task - ensuring we followed guidance. Mrs Shannon designed the hall to enable each year group to eat together and having it set over two days worked really well. The children had time to enjoy their Christmas Dinner, eating with their friends with time on their side. This may be something we consider next year too. I think you will agree that the tables looked amazing...

Southmead are the winners of the longest suspension bridge for the 2020 NDMA Spaghetti Challenge. We are pleased to announce that Southmead’s Team 4, Isabelle, Annie, Alana and Jayden are the    winners of the 2020 NDMA Spaghetti Challenge with the longest suspension bridge to hold one egg for 30 seconds. Winning length 54cm. This is the 4th year in a row that Southmead have won this competition! Well done to all of the children who took part and Dr Corney for his 'training.'

Today, Year 2 were 'visited' by the Dog's Trust who taught our children how to stay safe around dogs and the '5 Golden Happy Dog Rules.' Ask your Year 2 if they can remember them when they get home. Our Year 2s are now creating a poster based on their learning. Some of the posters will be shared on our Year 2 page.
